Side By Side Decoder can separate one side by side 3D high definition picture compressed into horizontal direction to original 2 high definition pictures (L channel and R channel).
Input signal is corresponding to HD-SDI signal.
Output signal is HD-SDI and DVI-D signal to connect with 3D display.



1. Features
  1. It can separate one side by side 3D high definition picture to original 2 high definition pictures (L channel and R channel).


  2. Equipped with HD-SDI signal input / output based on SMPTE 292M and DVI-D signal output.
    It is not corresponding to Dual-Link and 3G-HD-SDI signals.


  3. It is possible to output the input signal without decoding (through) by the switch on the front panel. HD-SDI signal is output as it is.


  4. Size of the unit is 1U half rack size. Power supply to the unit is DC+12V. It can operate by variable DC voltage from +9V to +18V. Therefore, Lithium-ion battery can be connected.


  5. This equipment is corresponding to the HD signal of 1920x1080 4:2:2 format. Input video signal format is recognized automatically. 1920x1080 format based on SMPTE 274M (60p/50p is not recognized). 1920x1080sF (segmented frame) based on SMPTE RP211-2000 Input/output video format is same.


  6. Thanks to DVI-D signal output, monitor corresponding to 3D can be connected. 3D display with more than 1920x1080 pixel resolution and vertical interleave system. 3D display which can display the frame rate corresponding to 60P, 50P, 48P


  7. It is corresponding to HD-SDI multiplex signal (embedded audio, time code, etc). Multiplex data of L channel is output.


  8. Delay time of HD-SDI input/output is less than 88μs.

3. Function of Each Part

3.1 Front Panel


* Power Switch
Turns ON/OFF the power.
ON/OFF operation shall be done with more than 2 seconds interval.
ON/OFF operation with short interval causes the trouble.
* Status Monitor Indication
LCD display indicates the operating status and setting status.
* Function Set Switch
Sets various function by [MENU] button, [SELECT] button, [EXIT] button.
Setting contents are memorized in the nonvolatile memory.
* THROUGH Switch
By pushing [THROUGH] button, this machine can be made THROUGH mode.
To cancel, press the button once again.
THROUGH mode is not stored and returns to original status by turning the power ON again.
